Job Description:

Only candidates with an experience of working for a shipping company shall apply.

You will report to the C E O and will be responsible to:

• Liaise with ship owners/ship brokers/charterers/ship agents or the other related parties on chartering arrangements;
• Prepare ships charter contracts;
• Create and update vessels data & fixtures in & Handle and manage shipping documents;
• Computation and settlement of lay time with ship owners/charterers of offshore petroleum specialized vessels
• Placing order for bunker supply;
• Arrange hire payment and reimbursement promptly to ship owners of the other related parties
• Liaise with accounts department for processing of bill payments and provision of accruals on a monthly basis;
• Responsible for shipment insurance, survey, contamination claims; and
• Ad-hoc tasks whenever required.


 Diploma or equivalent qualification

 Min 3 years of working experience in similar job responsibilities in Offshore petroleum services
 Ability to communicate fluently in English as you will liaise with overseas clients
 Positive working attitude with initiative and attention to details
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Basic knowledge of accounting and voyage profit/loss

Main Duties include; must have relevant oil & gas offshore and onshore lifting related experience of not less than 10 years
Have adequate training and hands on professional experience and be competent to act as an Appointed Person for lifting equipment. Shall be able to write Lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies.


Main Role:

Have focus on HSE priorities and lead a team for Safe Lifting Practices across different locations of the organization.

Familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices

All Appointed Person’s shall be trained and be assessed every 3 years through theoretical examinations by suitably trained/ certified and qualified assessor approved by COMPANY.

The Appointed Person for these oil and gas jobs shall also have adequate understanding of the capabilities and limitations of cranes with regard to offshore operations.

Appointed Person shall co-operate fully with COMPANY personnel and all other personnel under contract to COMPANY in carrying out any other duties deemed to be within his competence e.g. Maintenance of any other type of lifting equipment as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lifting AP (Deck Foreman) shall perform and be responsible for the following:-

a) Is designated as being in charge of planning, coordinating, controlling and executing the lift.
b) Be responsible for coordinating Contractors Riggers to conduct all vessel lifts and those on the platform as directed by the Crane Supervisor, or COMPANY personnel.
c) Ensures that people involved are competent for performing their task, aware of the task and procedures to be followed, and aware of their responsibilities. Briefs people involved in or affected by the lift
d) Ensure all necessary test certificates and other documents are available
e) Shall be responsible for the management of COMPANY owned and supplied loose lifting equipment. Be fully trained and conversant with loose lifting equipment rigging loft management procedures i.e. maintain a lifting equipment data base & issuance register.
f) In line with Company’s Bi-annual lifting equipment campaign assist TPI with inspection & re-certification of lifting equipment.
g) Carry out Banking/Signalman duties as and when required.
h) Ensures the lift is carried out following the plan. Suspends the lift if changes or conditions (eg, wind) occur that would cause a deviation from the plan


j) Plan and risk assess all routine and up to non-routine complicated crane-lifting operations associated with the day-to-day running of the COMPANY platforms.
k) Supervise all lifting operation on COMPANY platforms, including non-routine complex lifts once approved by Integrity Division.
l) Selecting the correct crane and accessories for the specific task
m) Checks that load integrity and stability are satisfactory;
n) Ensure all other statutory requirements and any necessary work permit are in place
o) Identify all hazards and restricted areas
p) Emergency Procedures in case of damage or impairment to the crane during operation, and for safe recovery of the crane to a holding location on the installation.
q) Ensuring that the person directing crane movements (Signaller / Banks man) is readily identifiable to the crane operator by wearing high visibility clothing or distinguishing markings
r) Shall allow for concurrent or simultaneous operations that may affect or be affected by the lift, eg, helicopter operations, ballast control, other cranes
s) Checks that there is no deviation from standards for routine lifts
t) Ensuring that the workplace is provided with adequate lighting for night lifting
u) Complete reports, lifting operation risk assessments, logs and other documentation, as required
v) Ensure competent supervisor available should the Appointed Person delegate his duties of part thereof to others
w) Have sufficient general engineering knowledge of loose lifting equipment to carry out daily inspection routines.
x) Ensures that the lifting equipment is maintained, examined and appropriate for use
y) Monitors the performance of all involved personnel to ensure that adequate standards of performance are maintained

In Addition, The Qualified Candidate Should Possess The Following
• Past experience managing a client P&L of at least $10+ million dollars, including reporting and metric assessment for the account.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a client facing role or account leadership role in the IT professional services or management consulting firm with 5-8 yrs in Insurance industry ((Life, Annuities, Property & Casualty, Group, Retirement) preferred.
• Experience with account management/selling in the local Market in Canada
• Understanding and thought leadership in technology, services and business trends their direct and indirect impacts on the outcomes of the customer and our organization
• A strong performance track record of managing different portfolios-ranging from sales, new sales, programs and managing existing business and their profitability.
• A strong relationship oriented bent of mind, demonstrated capabilities in building and sustaining CxO-1 relationships and below.
• Experience of leading diverse teams, experience of cultivating and collaborating in a multi-cultural environment
• Must be able to navigate a large organization, work in a multi-dimensional matrix and have the power of persuasion through content and confidence
• Knowledge of value articulation principals include client ROI and appropriate storyboarding techniques.
