Published

on

Legendary singer 2face Idibia is planning a protest against the Buhari led administration. But
before 2face came forward to lead this protest, some other Nigerian
celebrities have been protesting against the deterioration in the
society caused by bad governance.

From Femi Kuti
to Oritsefemi and Charly Boy, below are other Nigerian celebrities
protesting against the government one way or the other.

1. Charly Boy

An
unashamed activist, Charly Boy has been very vocal in his fight against
corruption, oppression, division and the forces that seek to undermine
democracy, and against the systems that keep us in chains.

The controversial star on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, even went as far as leading protesters on the platform of “Occupy Unlimited” to the National Assembly grounding activities in Abuja.
Charly Boy led other Nigerians to protest alleged corruption in the legislature.
Charly
Boy, the national coordinator of the advocacy group said the protest
was born out of the will of Nigerian youths who have shown the desire to
“stand up against the injustice and oppression done against them by
corrupt politicians.”

2. Seun Kuti

Veteran comedian Ali Baba is the
closest we have to a genuine comedian-activist who has continuously used
his position and talent to speak about the ills of our governance.

4. African China

Although not as vocal as he used to be (thanks to a dwindling career), will not be complete without mentioning him.
Recall,
this star started a new school of activism in music some ten years ago
with hits like ‘Mr President’, a conscious song that rocked the four
cardinal points of Nigeria back then.

5. Femi Kuti

Taking after his vocal father Fela
Kuti, Femi is another hot activist. The four-time Grammy award nominated
Afrobeat musician is anti-government.
In his
songs, his tweets, at the Afrika Shrine. All the time, Femi Kuti has
always been an activist even engaging the government in a brawl on
social media.

6. Oritsefemi

Again this list would not be complete without including the corporate miscreant himself, Oritsefemi.
Remember his hits, ‘Flog Politicians’, ‘Boyz dey Binu’, Mercies of the Lord‘, and recent jam ‘Mr gomina‘, all these songs were against the bad governance and economic instability.
It was a hit on the streets… Back to back!

7. Freeze

Yes! Media personality Freeze is not
left out! From bashing politicians to calling out ‘Yahoo’ Pastors,
Freeze has always been vocal on social media against bad governance.
He was previously reported to have said ‘he is not afraid of speaking out but exercising his freedom to free speech’.

Where do we even start from. With hits like ‘E dey pain me‘ to ‘Hard life‘, Blackface was and is still capturing the wills of the people.
A former member of the defunct group, Plantashun Boiz, Blackface also resorts to talking about bad governance on social media.

L. A Prisoners Infect Themselves With Coronavirus To Get Early Release (VIDEO)

Published

By

A group of silly L.A area prison inmates were very eager to contract the dreaded coronavirus .

They attempted this because they believed that would trigger their ticket out of prison.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva who made the startling revelation Monday, said about twenty-four (24) inmates at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic attempted (and somewhat succeeded, apparently) to infect themselves way back in mid-April 2020.

The Sheriff revealed that their department saw an increase in spike in confirmed cases out of nowhere.

He said that when they investigated, they found a high number of inmates living in one block of the prison appeared to be deliberately trying to infect each other with COVID-19 any way they could from behind bars.

When Alex Villanueva played the surveillance footages he and his team combed through carefully , and it showed several inmates hanging out in a common area and passing around what Alex described as a hot cup of water, as well as one face mask they’d each put on all in hopes of getting sympathy from a judge to spring them from the facility and let them go home.

But it turns out, their little ploy worked but, only halfway.

Villanueva reported that 21 of the inmates (out of 50 in the block) caught the ‘Coronavirus.

“What they won’t catch is a break” said the Sheriff.

The Buhari administration has been known for enforcing the Nigerian people to patronize Nigerian made goods though without much strategy to make life easier while this transition to economic growth is enforced. Many Nigerians have tagged it a harsh move that is insensitive and inhumane but moreso, Reno Omokri has singled out signals of hypocrisy in the President of Nigeria by outlining certain traits of family moves of the President that shows that he(Buhari) as the No.1 citizen has no regards for anything made in Nigeria but yet wants other Nigerians to embrace Nigerian made goods.

Reno Omokri ‘s tweet reads:

His kids schooled in England. His wife just returned from a 3 month UK stay. His daughter gave birth to his grandchild in Spain (made in Spain), yet
@MBuhari
, who is London, wants us to patronise made in Nigeria!
